As I mentioned in my commentary as to why I have initiated Educated Parenting.com, the image of parents that is most often conveyed in the mass media is negative. We see, hear and read stories of parents who abuse, neglect and sexually exploit their children, and parents are portrayed as the prime suspects when teenagers create havoc in the community.
But rarely do we hear about the vast majority of parents who are doing great jobs in raising and nurturing children in today's challenging and dangerous times. Even when a national holiday is proclaimed
