Educated Parenting.com...Back Again!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!  And apologies to some of you because you have not been regularly receiving my commentaries on educated parenting.  There has been a problem with the company who used to alert you to my latest additions, and hopefully that has been corrected by changing companies.  Now you should be hearing from me through Feedblitz!

You can look forward to receiving many of my previous commentaries that did not reach all of the good folks who subscribe to EducatedParenting.com, as well as the latest information on the status of the National Effective Parenting Initiative.  I will be in Washington DC next month and efforts are being put forth for me to present the Initiative at a special White House Briefing.  You will hear about whether such a Briefing actually occurs and about the outcome.

Keep your fingers crossed, as the thrust of the Initiative is to make effective parenting and parenting education national priorities!

Why Educated Parenting.com?

Children are the most important natural resource of any society.

Parents are the most important and influential persons in the lives and futures of children.

Parents, therefore, are deserving of respect and high status in the community.  They are also deserving of the best education, training and support to carry out their awesome responsibilities.

Yet parents go largely ignored in the halls of power of our society.

They are not routinely and systematically prepared and educated.

When they are heard of in the news, it is usually when some of them perform poorly, as when children are abused and neglected.  Or when their children or teens create havoc in the community.

This is not a very good situation for our children, our parents or our entire society.

We can do better.

And that is why I am initiating Educated Parenting.com.
